The message
The UN Climate conference will take place in December 2009. Representants from all countries in the world will agree on a new treaty on greenhouse gas emissions. This treaty can be crucial for the earth’s existence. It’s necessary to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions radically to get a solid evolution.
This new treaty will be replacing The Kyoto protocol, which was adopted in Kyoto, Japan, in December 1997. The knowledge of climate changing factors has definitely improved since 1997. Scientists all over the world are to, almost hundred percent, agreeing on that mankind is major cause to the climate crisis we have today. The technical progress and our use of fossil fuel have increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere enormously. It’s a huge problem and the greenhouse effect must be stopped. NOW!
We, the youth of the world, demand that you, the representants at the UN Climate conference, must come to decision based on the scientists’ knowledge of today about greenhouse gas emissions. You need to agree on a climate treaty for the future generations and for our generation, the young people all over the world. You will make a historical decision about international co-operation for a living planet. Please show us that you are trustworthy leaders who believe in coexistence and peace!
